Dr. Peter McIlveen is the founder and medical director of RestoreMD Med Spa and North Carolina Weight and Wellness, where he leads a dedicated team focused on helping patients look and feel their best from the inside out. Based out of the Elkin office, Dr. McIlveen brings a unique combination of medical expertise and genuine compassion to every patient interaction.
Dr. McIlveen completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, before earning his MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He went on to complete his medical education at the University of Connecticut, where he graduated as a Fleeson Scholar. He is a fellow of both the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Obesity Medicine Association, giving him a well-rounded foundation in both wellness and aesthetic medicine.
With deep expertise in Hormone Pellet Therapy, Medical Weight Loss, and advanced laser treatments including Mona Lisa Touch, Dr. McIlveen is passionate about offering patients the most current, evidence-based options available. His approach is thorough and personal, taking the time to truly listen and keep patients engaged as active partners in their own care. When he's not caring for patients, Dr. McIlveen enjoys spending time with his wife of 40 years and their three sons.
